Doctor Appointment Update

We (twins and I) had a doctor appointment yesterday. Blood pressure was a little high when I first got there but was great when I left (high for me is more in the normal range for the average patient or so I'm told). Everything looked good and I didn't have any concerns, so we had a quick look at the babies via ultrasound to see two beautiful little heartbeats. Baby A is on my right side and breech, while Baby B is on my left and head down. We have a "growth" ultrasound next Thursday to monitor their growth and I look forward to seeing them again but 2 hours makes for a long appointment. Hopefully we will get some good pics to post!
Baron and I went to Grant's basketball game in Salem last night. Baron has been to one other game but he was only about a month old and quite a different experience for both of us. He was really into the warm up and first half but got a little antsy the second half. That was a bit of a challenge for me (with the big belly) since the gym is small and there really isn't an area for him to run around during the game. We kept each other occupied though and after the game (Grant's team won!) he had a blast walking around the gym chasing balls. There were a few other kids there too and they were all playing together. Makes me happy to see him having fun and interacting so well with other little ones!

We Have a Walker!

Baron decided on Monday that he was ready for steps. He started out at Adrienne's taking 5-6 in a row and by today (Thursday) he is walking across the room before falling/sitting down. Way to go little man!

Twins, Twins and More Twins

As an update to Grant and I, we are currently 25 weeks pregnant with Baby Webster #2 and #3. Twins! The pregnancy came as quite a surprise since it took us a bit to get pregnant the first time around. It's taken some time to get used to the idea but I'm very excited but also a little scared/anxious.....all the emotions that I think are probably normal for someone who has a 1 year old. And the idea of 3 babies.....Wow!

We decided to be surprised again and looking forward to finding out sex once they arrive. My 40 week due date is June 26th but twins are considered full term at 37 weeks, so who knows when these little ones will arrive. We get to see the littles at each appointment and so far it seems like Baby A will be our spunky child and Baby B seems more relaxed. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Names......well as everyone knows, we won't be naming until babies are here. Grant likes to meet the littles first and then assign them a name that is fitting to them. I am working on trying to find some that could be possible contenders but none so far that I've love. It's a work in progress.....

It's fun getting to share this experience with a couple of close high school friends who have also had twins. There are 3 of us who have stayed close that will end of with a set of twins! And Grants cousin also has a set. They are great resources and reminders daily that they made it with 2 babies and are Wonderful moms.

I have had many offers of help from family and friends which is much appreciated. I am sure this time around I will be taking more up on these generous offers!

Birthday Follow-Up

Birthday went Great! Baron had a blast following the other kids around. He had no reservations with his cake and dug right in. Only mishap of the night was right before we left for pizza and Gunner stepped on the cake. Worked out fine in the long run and as Grant likes to say.........we'll look back on this and laugh! Thanks to all for the well wishes for the birthday boy!

Happy Birthday To My Baby!

It has been too long since I last posted. Grant and I have been blessed with an amazingly, wonderful son who will be 1 year old tomorrow. I find it bittersweet that my baby is leaving babyhood behind and entering toddlerhood.
Baron, your dad and I love you more than you'll ever know. You make every day fun. I look forward to seeing your smiling face in the mornings and sweet kisses at night. You have 3 teeth (2 on bottom and 1 on top) and look to be ready to cut 3 more. You have received your first haircut from dad and he did a great job. Momma wasn't quite ready but you look so handsome!
Walking hasn't happened yet but you have taken a step here and there without realizing it. You also stand unassisted for periods of time. The favorite of late is walking behind your lion pushtoy. You do laps around the house, even going down the steps into the family room. I think you could walk if you wanted to but you will when you're ready.

You eat like a champ. There isn't much that you won't eat anymore. You have pretty much veto'd baby food and are enjoying "big boy" grub. Chicken nuggets, ravioli, baked potato, hot dog and anything mom is eating are favorites. You love peaches and oatmeal, raisins and cheerios. You name it, you'll at least try it. I do wonder if you've learned to drink from Gunner (the dog) though since about half the water escapes your mouth and ends up on your front. You also always try to sweet talk daddy out of sips of Diet Pepsi.

You go to bed around 7:30 at night and get up around 6:30 on weekdays or 7-8 on weekends. You are still taking 2 naps per day and sleep anywhere from 1-3 hours per nap. I really enjoy our bedtime routine. It's one of the few times in the day momma gets snuggles from her independent, active boy.

You are as sweet as they come and have a smile ready for everyone! This past year has gone by so fast and I expect each coming year to be the same. I enjoy watching you grow and learn each day.....just don't grow up on me to fast. You are such great source of pride and joy to me, it brings tears to my eyes just writing this.........knowing how much I love you!

Happy Birthday to My Sweet Baby Baron!
