We Have Names......
Elliott Annabelle and Maverick Grant have joined big brother Baron Grant. They are amazing babies! Surgery went well and I am feeling pretty good. Love the doctors and nurses so far which makes the whole process easier. I was able to hold Elliott earlier and that was awesome ~ Just heading in to visit them again!
Babies are here!
Babies are here!!! Little sister was 5-3 and little man was 2-10. Both are resting and doing well. I'll get some photos up soon.

Almost Time
We had an appointment in Eugene yesterday and will go back on Friday to do growth measurements. Sounds like we will probably schedule delivery for the end of next week but will know for sure Friday. If we deliver next Friday that will put us at almost 35 weeks. We will be pleased we made it that far since in the beginning of all this we were hoping to make it to 30 weeks. Grant and I were also able to tour the NICU and saw a pair of twin boys that were weighing in around 3.5 pounds. They seemed tiny and to think Baby Boy will be even smaller. Baby Girl will be a bit bigger but will still seem small compared to the 9 lbs 12 oz Baron!

Mother's day
We had a wonderful Mother's day. Stayed home (of course) and Grant made a yummy dinner of steak with baked potato. Baron had his first dinner of steak and he ate quite a bit so I am assuming he liked it :) They gave me a card and told me I would get my present today because it hadn't arrived yet. So today they came home with present in hand and it is the iPad I wanted so badly. I am so excited! Now I can stay connected to the outside world when we are in the hospital. I am a lucky girl!

Bed Rest
I have now been on full bed rest for about 4 weeks with the partial bed rest beginning 2 weeks before that. Bed rest can be really difficult both mentally and physically to adjust to, especially for someone who is used to being on the go so much. Transitioning so suddenly from being an on the go mom to a sweet, active boy and working full time to doing nothing but sitting with my feet up was quite the reality shock. Probably the hardest in the beginning was having to remind myself I couldn't jump up if Baron hurt himself or take a dish into the kitchen or even grab myself some water (if Grant is home). It was more difficult learning to ask for everything be brought to me but Grant has been great and very accommodating. I have however become quite efficient at folding laundry when it's brought to me on the couch :)
Being home during the week by myself is really not so bad. I get up in the mornings when Grant does so I am able to spend a little time with him and Baron before they are off for the day. I generally stay in bed and get up only about twice for snacks/lunch (ok'd by the doctor) and the occasional potty break. I will transition to the couch around the time Grant gets home with Baron and enjoy their company for the evening and then off to bed again to start it all over the next day. Weekends are a little tougher only because my boys are home and I want to be a part of what they are doing. Running around with or after my little man, working outside when the weather permits, going to the store again.....all things that I miss and look forward to again.
Physically I am experiencing an increase in acid reflux from laying down alot, increased back discomfort (sitting all the time maybe??) and not sleeping as well anymore. I'm sure the sleeping issue comes from being big and pregnant at this point. I am finding more and more that laying down on my side is more comfortable than sitting up for long periods for my poor ol' back.
We are still going to Eugene every Tuesday and have been going to Corvallis for monitoring on Fridays. So far we are doing well and sounds like they hope we can make it another week or two but that will probably be it. If we can make it to 34 or 35 weeks, I think I will feel pretty good about it. That's alot better than thinking we might have babies at 29 or 30 weeks like we initially thought.
Even thought bed rest is not my cut of tea, I will do anything in my power to help my littles grow and develop inside as long as it is in their best interests and so I would willing stay on bed rest for a year if that's what it took. Funny how it works that way, isn't it?!
Baron is doing wonderfully! He's growing and "talking" all the time. He's been enjoying the visits from family/friends and his favorite game is chase. He's also into dancing, which consists of him shaking his little tush when prompted :) He is such a joy and I can't get enough of him and his sweet personality. I really do look forward to being home with him more!
