Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to my husband! We celebrated 6 wonderfuls years on Saturday 07/23. I can still remember what a perfect day it was and how thrilled I was to become your wife. Six years later I still feel the same! Thank You for being my best friend, companion and father to our children!

We celebrated our anniversary in Redmond at the wedding of our good friends Dan and Elizabeth. Grant served as a groomsman and looked mighty good in his tux if I do say so myself! Dan was a groomsman in our wedding and now we get to share anniversaries together. Baron had a blast running around and I will forever remember how adorable he was in the warm summer night......barefoot in the grass and dancing. Elliott was a doll in her pretty dress with a bow in her hair and Maverick every bit as cute in his big boy clothes. It was just one of those really great nights as a family!

I originally wasn't going to go because the idea of 3 little ones in a hotel seemed like alot of work but after going back and forth about it many times, Grant talked me into going at the last minute. He really wanted us to be together on our anniversary and I wanted to be there when Dan got married. So my Wonderful sister Tara agreed to accompany me over with the kids (and it was as much work as I had thought it was going to be). She helped me out at the wedding and then stayed at the hotel with the kids when it was bedtime so I could go back to the wedding and dance under the stars with my husband. Well worth the trip......but I am glad to be back home!

I love & adore you Grant.....now and forever!

Thankful

My day was just beginning and I was feeling defeated before it even started. The past couple days have been trying and exhausting to say the least. Nothing has really changed but the twins and a very active 16 month old are finally catching up to me. I know I said that the twins were easier than we expected but I never said it was easy! Then I logged onto facebook and read a blog about a young man that is fighting brain cancer and it stopped my little pity party. Sometimes you need a little dose of reality to bring you back to what is good in life.

I am THANKFUL. Thankful that I have a wonderful husband that loves & adores me even when he comes home from work to a house that looks like a tornado has hit it and a wife that hasn't showered & probably smells of baby puke. Thankful that he understands how I feel some days without me having to even tell him. Thankful I have 3 healthy kids I am able to stay home with. Thankful that I get to be with Baron and watch my baby evolving into a little boy that I enjoy so much.....even on the days he has literally pulled every toy out (and anything else he can get his hands on) and scattered it about the house. Thankful that we are 8 weeks and 3 pounds past the birth of our twins and no longer have a baby in the hospital. Thankful to have a daughter and another son to enjoy. Thankful that we are healthy and pray daily it continues. Thankful to have an amazing sister that loves me and my kids so much she comes over daily to help and without her I probably wouldn't be sane(THANK YOU TARA ~ YOU ARE BEYOND WONDERFUL). Thankful for our home, family and friends.

There is so much more I am Thankful for but I would be typing all day and there are bottles to be cleaned and babies stirring. But I find as I head off to start that chore I have a smile on my face and a different outlook on my day! THANKFUL!!

Still Here!

Maverick
Elliott
Baron & Mom's water bottle = one wet kid
Yes folks we are still here and surviving. Not only are we surviving but Grant and I have been pleasantly surprised that we are doing so well with 3 little ones at home. Had a doctor appointment yesterday and Maverick was weighing in at 4 lbs 6 ozs and 16 1/4 inches long while Elliott is 7 lbs 13 ozs and 19 inches. They will be full term tomorrow and doing Great on the outside! Baron is a champ and I love spending my days at home with him. He has cut 4 teeth in the last couple weeks including 2 molars so there have been some fussy times but overall he is Wonderful!

All Under One Roof!

You heard me right folks.....Maverick came home yesterday and we are loving being a family of 5. We are settling in nicely and besides feeding two, doesn't really feel much different than one (so far). We had an appointment with our pediatrician this morning and Maverick was 4lbs while Elliott was 7lbs 2ozs. Both are growing nicely and we'll go in weekly for weight checks for awhile.

Baron doesn't seem to mind that there is another baby in the house. He is doing much better now that he's adjusted to another little person in the house. He's busy learning to talk and so far he's saying mom, dad, Tia, nana (banana), up and no. Loving this little boy and can't wait for the three of them to be able to play together. I am really hoping that because they are so close in age, they will be the best of friends!
