Happy Birthday Baron

Two years ago this special little boy made me a mama! Happy Birthday Sweet Baron!

At 2 years old you are happy, independent and active.... Just what I would expect from a little boy. You love anything to do with music, being outside, throwing the ball for the dog, taking baths, playing on the iPad and wearing your boots. You play really well with others but equally as well by yourself. You are not really interested in coloring but love to take toys apart and put them back together as well as stacking things up just to knock them down. You now will sit still for story time and we read the same books over & over at your request of "again" at the end of each. I love this since I am such an avid reader and hope this will be something we can enjoy together for years to come!

Your vocabulary has really taken off in the past two months and you are repeating pretty much everything I say. You are also putting 2 or sometimes 3 words together fairly regularly. Nigh nigh babies, Hi guys (apparently I must say this to the twins alot) and I two are some newer phrases. We sing A B C's often and you will say a few of the letters. You also have "eight, nine, ten" down and we are working on the 1-7. You can point out different animals and love the cat to the point of following her around the house with a delighted "kitty", picking her up and bringing her to me. So far she has been surprisingly tolerant :)

You love your brother and sister and do everything in your power to make them laugh. You get on the floor with them, try to tickle (but haven't quite mastered), play peek a boo and talk to them all day. You like to greet them in the mornings and I often find you on the stool in their room, talking to Elliott in her crib. You like to rock Maverick in his cradle and tell him nigh nigh or hi baby. You often take their toys which is a part of being 2 I guess and we are working at giving them a different toy if I ask. If one or both of the twins are fussing, you will fake cry along with them. Power in numbers I guess :)

You are wearing size 2t clothes and 7.5-8 in shoes. You are a fan of brushing your teeth, combing your hair and cleaning your ears (I have to hide the Q-tips). You aren't ready for potty training yet but I am hopeful we can start working on that this summer. I guess we will just wait and see ;) You are still napping once daily for 2-3 hours and going to bed around 8:30pm-7:30 or 8:00am.

Your dad and I are constantly amazed by you and love watching you learn & grow. You are such a joy for us and I am so grateful I get to be with you each and every day. I love you son!
