and he is one tough cookie! Maverick had surgery about a week & a half ago and he is doing great. The surgery lasted about 2 hours and we went home same day. He went into surgery well, even letting me hand him off before the operating room with no fussing but I am sure the anti-anxiety/relaxation meds they gave him before helped. We got to go into recovery as soon as he started waking up and he wasn't very happy. He was not pleased with the IV still being in his hand and was trying to pull it out. He made quite the spectacle for about 30 minutes until he actually ruined the IV and they just removed it. After that he calmed down, we got discharged and he slept the whole ride home. He is recovering nicely and if you didn't see the incisions, you wouldn't know he ever had surgery. What a trooper!
Right after the removal of the dreaded IV ~ much happier & sleepy boy!
