Last night was New Year's Eve and the 8th anniversary of when Grant proposed so we went out to celebrate. It was a quick date night which was fine by me because I don't like to be out late on New Year's....better safe than sorry. We put the twins down and left at 9:00 pm and were home again by 10:30 pm. Nancy stayed with the kids and had some snuggle time with Baron before he went down. When we got home we watched a little Good Eats (Grant is currently obsessed with Alton Brown's cooking and I have to admit it is a pretty good show) and tried hard to make it to midnight.....but we didn't quite make it. The last time I looked at the clock it was 11:32 pm. I woke to hear the neighbors shooting off fireworks at midnight and gave Grant a quick smooch but I don't think he was awake enough to know. We really know how to party around here ;)
I am thankful to 2012 for our big boy's 2nd birthday, the twins turning 1, littlest sister graduating high school & starting college, an awesome trip to Disneyland, 7 years of marital bliss, fun summer field trips, family time with both sides of the family, the arrival of Brady, the fact that Maverick is thriving and so much more! I thank you 2012 and look forward to 2013!
Happy New Year guys..and we were in bed by 11:10..and also woken up by fireworks & Ziggy barking. :)
