Bye Bye 2 Pounds....We Won't Be Missing You :)

So Happy Together!

Heading home from meeting little brother

My babies are 37 weeks gestation today. Crazy to think they could still be in my belly.......

We have had a good/busy 1st week with a newborn at home. Grant and I are getting into a routine of having 2 kids at home and trying to get out of the house every day so we can make it to Eugene by the 11:00 feeding. I am really looking forward to getting Maverick home so that we don't have to do the daily commute anymore. Having everyone under one roof sounds awfully nice (I'm sure if you ask me again in about 6 weeks I might change my tune;). Being away from home every day really cuts into me getting anything done. I'm not nearly as tired as I was with Baron and wonder if it's because I've done this before or if Elliott really is that much easier?? Baron was an easy baby too, he just wanted to eat more at night. Here's hoping Maverick will be the same as Elliott (eating wise)!

Maverick hit the 3 pound mark on Thursday and as of today he is weighing in at 3lbs 3ozs. I am so happy he is packing on the weight! He has been taking his bottle every feeding and usually drinks about half before he gets too tired. He drank 13 ml for me and his whole bottle for one of the nurses yesterday. He has been maintaining his temp for a few days now but is still in his isolette. This is only because they don't want him burning a bunch of calories trying to maintain his body temp in open air.

Elliott was weighed on Thursday and Maverick isn't the only one gaining weight. She went home last Sunday weighing 5lbs 2ozs and as of Thursday she was 5lbs 10ozs! She is doing really well with her bottle and is picking up on nursing as well. She is a super baby and rarely ever fusses. She is content eating and sleeping. She has an awake period around 5ish in the evenings and looks around like she's taking it all in and doesn't seem to mind the noise coming from all the toys Baron likes to set off at the same time. It will be alot different for Elliott and Maverick having a big brother because the house definitely won't be quiet :)

Poor Baron is going thru a rough patch. He's been super clingy and wants up all the time, which is not typical of him at all. I know it's him adjusting to the changes we are going thru and I feel bad that he doesn't really understand. We took him to Eugene with us on Friday because we wanted to spend a little more time with him and that was an experience. A 15 month old in a small room with nothing to play with doesn't make for alot of fun. Grant took him to McDonalds's (1st time ever) and they went to Cabela's while I had my snuggle time with Maverick and Elliott. We are glad he had some extra time with us but we won't be taking him back :)

I am taking my first day off from driving down to see my littlest man so I can have a day with Baron. Mixed feelings of course because I want to be with Maverick and I want to be with Baron too. So begins the juggling act of having 3 kids!
