Discharged......

Cuteness!
Maverick having snuggle time with Dad!
Elliott sacked out!

I was discharged from the hospital today and came home to my Baron! It has been bittersweet because while I am very happy to be with Baron again, it was very difficult for me to leave my babies in the hospital (there are tears even as I write this). I know my babes are in good hands and they are where they need to be right now but it still breaks my heart knowing they are there and I am here. I got used to going in every night for their 8:00 pm feeding and holding babies for a good hour or more. It was our nightly snuggle time (kind of like tucking them in for the night) and I'm missing that very much right now.

You know, I had alot of reservations and anxiety over becoming pregnant so soon after Baron was born and then the idea of twins was a little overwhelming. To be honest, it took me quite awhile to even be excited. But now......after having these babies and feeling such astounding love for these two little children that belong to me, I feel so selfish, silly and foolish for ever doubting. They are every bit a part of me as Baron is. I don't think I will feel completely whole again until all of my family is home together!

Moving on: Maverick has now bumped up to 12 ml of milk and I believe he will move on to 15 ml tonight at his 11:00 pm feeding. He is off his nasal prongs for the time being and is back under phototheraphy. I changed a big poopy diaper earlier that suprised me to be coming from such a little person ;) He was up a few grams in his weight today which was exciting for us. It could drop down again tomorrow but it was nice for Grant and I to see! I got some good snuggle time in with him before we left and he even nursed a little! Way to go little man!!

Elliott is now off the IV and getting all her milk thru the feeding tube. She did really well nursing again. She is out of the isolette and in a little crib and I was able to get her dressed. She looked so sweet! She seems to really like being in clothes and swaddled.

They are hoping to get the babies moved to a room big enough for both of them to be in tomorrow. That will be really nice since so far they have had adjoining rooms. Hopefully it won't be too before they can co-bed!

Baron is amazing! We were able to spend a good couple hours before bedtime together.
